A morning ritual to begin your day peaceful

Hello beautiful!

In the hustle and bustle of the season, I thought this might be a helpful inSight to bring a little 'literal' peace to your heart (if you do it)! 😉

I often find myself explaining to people what I do upon waking up in the morning, as its helps me so much.

How do you begin your day? A loud alarm? Looking at the news? Grabbing your phone? Wanting more sleep? Dreading the meetings?

I’ve never enjoyed jumping right out of bed. It just doesn’t allow my nervous system to get online in a comfortable way.

When we first wake up, whether it's by an alarm or naturally, it’s usually nice and quiet. So I suggest the following:

  1. Take the first moments to breathe in the silence and be grateful, for you have been gifted one more day.

  2. Bask in the comfort, safety and warmth of your bed.

  3. Allow the night's events to roll in your mind. How did you sleep? Do you feel refreshed? Scan your body, and notice how it feels.

  4. See if you can remember your dreams. If you can, see if there was anything you could take meaning from. Maybe someone who passed visited you. Bask in that. In your dream were you acting in accordance to who you are, or were there some hints of some areas that need improvement. They’re not to be taken literally, but I like to dissect mine a little. Maybe there was a message meant for you. Sometimes there is and sometimes not.

  5. Think about the day ahead. Who will you be seeing? How do you want to show up? This is a great time to set your intention for the day on how you’d like it to unfold. This is where I ask that my unique gifts be used to serve for the highest good of all involved. I send those whom I will see the love in my heart and ask that the light in me match to the light in others that I will meet that day.

  6. Whatever I am working on, (non-judgement, vulnerability, being impeccable with my word) I ask that it stay in the forefront of my mind so I stay conscious.

  7. Complete my morning meditation, again depending on what I’m working on

This can be done in 10 minutes up to an hour or more. Of course just do what you can. But when I wake up and do this ritual, my life feels intentional, peaceful and I am graced in a way that I’m not if I don’t do it. This is how I align my body, heart and soul, before dealing with anyone or anything else.

Try it and see how you feel!

Happy Holidays to you. I wish the very best to you and your loved ones.

All my love,
K 💛
