How are your beliefs, thoughts and thinking related?

Hello superb friend!

The other morning during my meditation, I was taking inventory on where I’m at in my life and this question came to me. How did I get here?

The answer was, because you thought you would.

Here are some examples, and please take some time to reflect on some of yours.

When I was young and worked at Shoppers Drug Mart (before I knew what ‘real’ job I wanted), I thought, I want to work in a city, downtown and wear suits and go to important meetings. And I did. (Imperial Oil).

I began making more money and saw my income double in a few short years. So I thought, I want to make more money and get big bonuses like other people I knew were. And I did. (Elbow River Marketing).

One summer at the cabin I thought, I want to live at the lake each summer. A couple weeks didn’t feel like enough. Now I do.

Then I wanted to teach others what has helped me live this life well lived. And I do. (Life Coach).

Back to the question though - how are your beliefs, thoughts and thinking related?

Because first you have to believe you can. Then your thoughts have to align with those beliefs. And your thinking then, causes you to flow with your desire, or go against it.

If you take any challenge going on in your life right now, I ask you to check in with where your beliefs, thoughts and thinking are. Doesn’t matter the topic. I’d put money on the fact that if you don’t have what you want it's because somewhere in those 3 things something is going in the opposite direction.

Your life is just an accumulation of past thinking.

So what do you want? Do you believe you can have it? Do your thoughts rally around the fun of having it? And does your thinking about it support it becoming real one day?

You are in charge of this.

Are you single and want love? Do you think that it's hard and there’s no one left for you? Then that’s what you’ll see and experience. Don’t blame technology, or dating apps. Empower yourself to think better about it. The only proof is your results. Ouch I know.

Do you want to lose weight but your results don’t match your desire? Do you really believe you can? Start there. If anyone you know has done it, then you can too!

We can retrain our thinking. Look at where you’re doing well. I bet you have no blocks about it. You’ve heard we get in our own way. This is one way we do that.

Energy modalities (like Reiki) might shift your energy in one session, but if your thinking is off then your energy will go off again, real quick.

No one can get you where you want to go but you. Pick one area and work on your thinking for one month and see what happens. Words don’t teach. You need to experience it.
