Hello gorgeous friend!
Here’s my honest question to you about when life doesn’t always feel good. Did someone tell you it should?
Did someone say at some point you’ll have no problems? Of course you’re a good person. And yes, bad things will happen to you.
Then you’ll have some choices to make. You can numb, drug, drink. You can get support, work out, eat healthy. You can keep your pain inside or you can tell someone about it. (I tend to do a bit of everything) haha.
See, it’s up to you.
Pity from others won’t heal you. Relying on others won't either. That keeps you stuck. A real friend might say - isn’t it time you work towards finding more joy in your life?
Strength of character is built. And the more you build, the stronger you become. And unfortunately no one can give you this but you.
You know who actually can? Every person who has ever hurt you. Every experience that has let you down. What causes strength is tough times. Don’t fall into depression because of tough times.
Even though it might be tough right now, what is trying to come through? Who are you learning to become because of this challenge?
You’re not the only person who has lost a loved one or gotten sick or experienced a tough go.
And because of this, people are understanding - for a while.
If you want to feel better, ask someone who’s gone through what you’re going through (and has rised above) how they got through. Find 3 different sources and start doing what resonates with you.
There are many paths to healing. And we’re never done. Enjoy the bloody high’s because the lows will show up again.
Ride the river and begin taking stock of what you need to get through the tides when they come. You’re a brilliant navigator.
What is necessary is support, a safe environment and a willingness to accept that things will get better again.
I’m with you. Life can be hard. And it doesn’t always feel good. Nothing stays the same forever, as you know. This is a good thing. It makes us appreciate the good and handle the bad with more grace.
You are loved,
K 💛
