Soul, Spirit, God, Divine, Truth?
Hey there you little (or big) bad ass! 😉
This comes to you from 4 days straight of immersing myself in Caroline Myss’s teachings! She’s blunt, she’s educated in her craft and she’s quite humorous to watch. She’s so enjoyable to me!
TRIGGER WARNING: You may not like this straight shooter. Try to stay open. The term for God here is not a religious one. As always, take what resonates and discard the rest. You decide for you. K let’s go!
Your mind needs training. Otherwise it can go to plenty of crazy places.
We thrive on TRUTH. Your soul is the vessel of truth. Heart communication. How you sense what’s going on in your unfolding.
We need to PURGE. Get out everything in you that’s not true. It’s painful. Find the beliefs that bother you. Another word for purge is to confess. Or atone. There are demons and darkness in all of us. They eat our mind and destroy our hearts. The soul can become toxic when you act against your moral code, ethics and beliefs.
We are searching, searching. Why did this happen to you? Because it did. Stop asking questions that have no answers.
We are less connected from our spirit than ever before. The words prayer, soul, spirit, divine are dangerous words today. We’ve gotten so mental. We want to reason our way through.
“I have a lot of proof I can not prove.” (I really resonated with this).
She says to say (pray), “I am listening” (that’s my fridge post-it now so I don’t forget).
There’s physical survival and survival of the soul and the challenge today is distractions. Have you asked, if I do this, what are the consequences to my soul?
”Deep in our gut we know that however we’ve understood God is not the way we want to understand God. There’s the God we talked about and knew and then there’s the experiential nature of the divine.”
We are experts on what we don’t believe. Novice on what we do.
What has always been and always will be after you’re gone?
You’re not special. You’ll be looking for something special to do and it will disappoint you.
We’re all governed by the same rules. So learn the rules. I can’t believe this happened to me. Never say that! Why can’t you believe it, you think you’re special? (Ooof. Ya, she says that and it rings as total truth to me).
What do you believe? About yourself. Give up the God you want vs the God that is. This takes maturity. Enough about ourselves, more about others. Then the soul starts speaking more loudly.
Now you ask deeper questions. Not why my parents… better questions.
Your options are to stay angry or stay hurt. Forgive. There’s no other path.
Ask yourself: (you’ll need some time to reflect on these)
What are 3 things I absolutely believe to be true?
What is it I need divine guidance about right now? (not a wish list)
What are my spiritual needs? How/why do I make the choices I do? What do I really want to say? Am I compromising or living with integrity? Where is my soul? Does it lay down with me at night - all inside of me?
We must be congruent with what we say/do. Don’t act misaligned. That’s spiritual scoliosis. If you do, you end up a victim, have addictions, or become abusive (emotional, self, psychic).
Tell the truth.
