Hey there!
As per last week's inSight on ‘forging your own damn path’ I’ll share with you an example of how I forge mine.
When I got laid off back in 2019 I had to contemplate what I was going to do once my year off was done. OK, help people learn new skills and utilize them to get through their challenges faster with more inner peace.
The first thing I had to get clear about was what I wanted my life to look like. I was building a lifestyle, not a business. That part was easy. I wanted to spend the summers at my favorite place in the world - our family cabin in beautiful BC. This is my 7th year so yes, I did that! And time flies. And things change.
One summer I decided to take a break from writing you these inSights. Last summer my girlfriend said please don’t you dare stop writing these, as she really enjoyed receiving them each week. Aw. Sweetheart she is.
This summer I’ve decided to write if it feels right. I really don’t love doing anything I don’t love to do. So, you may get these, you may not. Some might be shorter than usual. I can’t say for sure.
Though I'll be away from my typical day to day, I will continue to support anyone who needs guidance. It’ll just be from the lake.
I also believe it’s ok to take a total break from things. It’s summer. A time to be with my people and not work as much. Less self help and more fiction (with a tich of erotica)! 😋 Less structure, more contemplating. Less planning, more presence. I'll build and doonce I'm back.
What are your plans for summer? Want to commit to having a great one? What’s it going to take and what’s something you can do that is less work and more fun?
Don’t think for a second that I am leaving you. I’ll be around.
Love ya!
K 💛
