What 50 years has taught me so far!

Hello beautiful friend!

Well, I’m headed to Scottsdale, AZ to celebrate my 50th birthday with some of my most precious people and so grateful to be celebrated in such a fun way!

I figured this is a great milestone opportunity to reflect a little and maybe you can relate to some of my findings so far. I could have gone on and on and I’ll bet you could add way more to this list also.

  • The past is gone. Enjoy the beauty of the nice memories and take the lessons from the tough ones.

  • There’s no one better equipped than you, to be responsible for your health and finances.

  • People are good.

  • When going through hard things - changes, jobs, losses, identity shifts, spiritual growth, breakups - get support. It’s nice to have people to love you through the hard stuff.

  • I’ve appreciated all of the people that have been in my life to help me know myself better. Every relationship has taught me something beautiful (even the painful ones).

  • Some things are impersonal and some very personal.

  • Intuition is like your future self guiding you forward. Listen and follow the nudges.

  • Inner peace is more valuable than stuff.

  • People will disappoint you and it can make you stronger if you don’t take it personally.

  • Deal with your problems as they come up or else they just accumulate. You will have to deal with them at some point.

  • Honesty is an easier and freer way to live.

  • Keeping your heart open is harder than it sounds.

  • Having confidence provides you with the resilience to know if you fall down, you’ll get back up. You can do hard things.

  • When I live within my values, I’m happier.

  • I need people and they are worth the effort.

  • All things pass.

  • Success means different things to people. Learn what it is for you.

  • Comparison can suck the joy right out of you.

  • Allowing and accepting all of my parts makes it easier to not judge others.

  • Life is a school. We never know what we’re meant to learn, until we do.

  • You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. The why becomes clearer as time goes on.

  • Great love takes great skill, patience and practice.

  • You can’t control anyone but you will influence some.

  • Our personalities don’t change much, but age and wisdom can refine us.

  • It's easier to keep my weight maintained vs having to lose it.

  • Financial freedom is worth having less stuff. A simple life is underrated.

  • Life is given and taken away and we don't know when we'll die. Have reverence for it.

🥰

All my love,
K 💛

I’m a curious gal who is captivated by the human condition. I believe in exploring all life experiences to learn and grow. Throughout my 30 years of studying and learning to love and understand myself, I have come to realize that there is no ‘right’ path or way to experience life, other than head on, with accountability, a sense of humor and a knowing that I’m exactly where I need to be. And this is true for everyone. You create your own reality. Reach out if you want a skilled friend. I’m in the arena. Want to join me?
