Hey there amazing friend!
I watched an episode from Gangaji and her husband Eli. It’s a little deep, but you can take from it what you may. These deeper inSights have been enjoyed I’ve noticed, so here you go!
Whatever it takes - except. Except is what keeps you a slave. I’m willing (give up control). Whatever it takes.
Idealization is a trap.
_______ is not fitting into my ideal.
The flaw is the ideal. Everything is moving. Get it for a second and it changes. We’ve been brainwashed to how it ‘should be.’ Conscious and subconscious. What should relationship be?
Suffering doesn’t come from someone else but can be our focus. You can feel pain. In this moment there is no past or future. There is nothing. Then you go to your next thought. There’s usually a ‘but.’ Until there’s no but - the suffering will subside.
The mind tells stories and can’t understand it. So where do you find the answer?
What are you giving your life to?
Is it nourishing? Fulfilling? If not, just tell the truth.
What are you afraid to lose?
If you got off the wheel, what would you have? Investigate you’re on the wheel because you’re scared to lose something. That’s what keeps you on the wheel. Is it worth it?
If you leave behind everything that hasn’t given you happiness or fulfillment, what’s left? True happiness and fulfillment is something that doesn’t come and go. We start off believing it does. We do something that makes us feel good, but it doesn’t last. So we do it again and again but it doesn't give us fulfillment.
It won’t depend on your circumstances. There can be emotion - good and bad in life - but it’s a deep dive until you stop and find what’s real for you.
Freedom is within. It’s how you play your part. We never lose our humanness. This isn’t ‘enlightenment,’ it’s freedom. We are mysterious and divine and the deeper we go, we realize we’re so much the same, and where love really is.
There’s so many ‘rules’ to even a spiritual journey. So much ‘to do.’ And we’re all flawed - the key is to be okay anyway.
We can so easily tell ourselves a problem (in the mind). Once you become aware - you stop it. Let it be, without fixing, solving or defending it. Just be with it. What happens? Some ease?
In this moment, just meet it. Open. Might be hard because this might be new. You meet reality. Everything is accepted.
He asked a student, what’s under the numbness? And he replied, aliveness.
That’s it. So beautiful. So simple.
All my love,
K 💛
