Hey there my lovely friend!
My most recent teacher has been around since the 90’s when she really finally got to understand what awakening was all about. Her name is Gangaji. The teacher that finally had her ‘get it’ was Papaji - and his teacher was Sri Ramana Maharshi. Their relationship goes back to the 40’s where he learned the direct path of self inquiry.
This inSight is inspired by Gangaji who has taken what she learned and shares it beautifully. Her voice is calm and loving and I recommend anyone wanting to learn more about peace, to check her out.
I’m realizing how ‘clinging’ to my stories have a direct influence on how I feel.
Let’s accept and acknowledge this is just how the human mind works. We make up stories about everything. Until we fall asleep each night of course.
Obstacles to being free can show up in forms of emotions, thoughts and events.
If I’m angry, I’m not at peace. If this would have happened, then I’d be happy. If this wouldn’t have happened, then I’d be ______. There are blissful events in life and horrific ones. And they have no inherent bearing on the inherent truth of yourself as fulfillment, as free. Regardless of thoughts, emotions, events.
Tell the truth. Stop and investigate. Reflect on these meaningful questions:
What do you want? What do you truly want? (No judgement).
If you got what you wanted, what would that give you?
Where have you looked for what you want?
How many places have you looked?
Are you willing to stop looking anyplace?
When you stop searching - what’s here? Tell the truth she reminds us again.
Here’s an ongoing question to ask yourself:
What comes and goes? What’s always here? Usually what you want and what’ll it’ll give you, you will see - it’s already here.
Your whole universe revolves around this.
Cool huh?
All my love,
K 💛
